I am less interested in transparent armor on vehicles than I am on infantry… once we assume transparent armor, those scantily clad wimmen with the huge guns start to make a lot more sense…

If a wargaming pal said his troops had transparent armour, I'd see right through him.

They're not windows, they're offset fiber-optic "reception" panels, allowing the light to be filtered or augmented as necessary, while preserving the armored protection which is underneath the panels.

My preferred modeling technique is to wrap the figure in Scotch tape, then take a drink of Scotch and repeat as necessary.
