5. My usual for "if you paint all the figures and run the game I will play." |

Sounds too much like work… in more ways than one. |

Skirmish game NATO vs china might be cool, if anybody makes good modern Chinese infantry. |

I'm with Winston on this one. If I saw it as a game at a convention I would probably sign up. Otherwise….eh? |

Sure, why not. I expect the air and naval campaign could be fascinating. Lots of high tech Taiwanese and USN firepower against hordes of impressed civilian cargo vessels that can't be stopped, since the "good guys" run out of those precision guided weapons far too soon, and there's no time to make more. I suspect the air campaign could be equally interesting as well, especially if those anti-carrier ballistic missiles are in play, and even half as good as they are purported to be. Heck, if the Chinese can eliminate the Taiwanese air threat, and neutralize some of the SAMS and flak, while keeping the USN away, or at a long distance, you might even be able to conduct some paratrooper assaults to seize key Taiwanese terrain. |

I mean, if you want large-scale modern warfare, it pretty much has to be a hypothetical and Taiwan seems as good as any. Don't have any particular plans for it, but I'd play it, sure. |

Interest is high, 7-8, but TBH I reckon the probability of it happening is realistically about zero |

That is a scenario in my SF setting, so I will happily play in/run that game. |

I think this would be a fascinating scenario. I can think of all sorts of crafty tricks the invaders might employ and I can see how the prospects for a quick fait accompli success might tempt some ambitious mainland Chinese leader someday, esp. the way Taiwan's defenses are being allowed to sag and military service is no longer attracting enough numbers or talents. Think of the Argentine seizure of the Falklands, only much larger scale and with more advanced weapons and tactics. |

I am glad their was an option for "not an Ultramodern gamer", since my interest would be expressed as a negative number. I applaud the obsessive people who voted 10, however. It's good for gamers to have niche obsessions. |

Would be up for it as a series of cyberpunk scenarios, where both sides want to preserve as much of the city as possible. Small-scale groups of infiltrators fighting it out in abandoned streets, with no armor or bombings or what have you, where the cyberassets are the most valuable targets. |
