I keep herd animals for skirmish games, but so far it's been more theoretical than practical.

Like a lot of my gaming.

Food is essential to warfare so I pretty much have everything on the list in one army or another. I am just making a mobile bread oven for my WW2 Germans. They have field kitchens in the supply columns but no bakery … as yet wink

Animals for my Vietnam skirmish. Crop fields for everything. A friend had baskets and such of food for use with his Siege game. Prior to the besiegers arriving the defenders would send people out to scurry about the countryside to bring in as much food as possible. Those supplies would then be consumed in the weekly turns at either a full or half ration until exhausted, the defenses are overrun or the attackers give up. Mounted troops could always consume their mounts too.

Why can I only vote for five?

I've got a cattle heard (and a pony one, which would among other things serve as emergency food), bags of grain, various fields, vinyards, plenty of unlabelled chests and barrels, camp followers carrying amphorae and other containers, and a trio of witches making stew. I wouldn't have thought this very much, but I can't vote for all of it in the poll.

(And that's only counting the painted stuff.)
