20mm square for formed infantry--rising to 25mm when I must.
25mm round for skirmishers and gun crew.
25mm X 50mm for mounted figures.

Combo of rectangular bases only. The rules I play use rectangular bases for frontage and facing. Round bases fudge that all up, opening the door to arguments about front, flank, or rear attacks. Makes it KISS. Cheers!

All on round (penny) bases. Started doing it after an accidental table bump wiped out a RalPartha Zulu impi.

All on 1p or 2p pieces (UK), and the Warbases movement trays if in units.

20mm round bases – I used to use 1 penny bases but Canada got rid of pennies a while ago

Depends on what counts as "fantasy". If it's only the medievalesque stuff, it's mostly WRG style rectangular multi-figure bases. If we include stuff like Malifaux and soft sf, individual round bases may just squeeze ahead.

Other – different ways for different games. Round bases for skirmish, DBA/HoTT bases for HoTT….
