Phantasm didn't creep me out too much in the cinema, but remembering the scenes during bedtime did.

The scene where The Tall Man walks by the ice cream truck and reacts to the frigid air from the open compartment got me.

Rosemary's baby just because. Wizard of Oz because of the damn flying monkeys! Of course these and others were from when I was younger. Yeah. That's it.

The Thing is a fantastic movie, but even as a kid I didn't find it particularly scary.

Ah … Trailer for Magic should be Magic the film from 1978. Being that I was nine at the time, I only saw the trailer on tv, but it scared the beejeesus out of me.

OH MAN. That freaked us out bad. People were reciting it in my elementary school to scare each other so much, the principal forbade any reference to it at school.

I think that a lot of the voters have not watched The Ring, otherwise it would be catching more votes.

The original Jurassic Park made me curl up into the fetal position in the theater when the raptors were hunting them down inside the cafeteria .

Dude, you had some hardcore "friends" in elementary school.

I'm 46 and I didn't even watch the trailer I found on YouTube a couple weeks ago … I just found it and clicked the link to be sure it was the right thing. Once I saw the dummy head, that was enough for me.

Surprisingly, 'The Shining' didn't freak me out at all when I first saw it on cable around 1981. Another one that didn't faze me when it was first shown was the 1972 psy-thriller-drama 'When Michael Calls'. I was nearly 8 at the time, and my Mom and sis didn't think I needed to watch it.

You have "The Vanishing" listed, now is that the original Dutch version "Spoorloos" which was frightening, or the awful Hollywood remake that was not frightening in the least? I ended up voting "other" by default. Nothing else on the list that was frightening (that I had seen anyway).
