Interesting how we've eventually sorted through (pretty much) to books on wargaming in general and the most broad-based of reference books. Only a very few novels and a smattering of period-specific non-fiction has made it this far. It's almost enough to make me reconsider my usual stance on "the wisdom of crowds."

Well, it would be if Chandler, Heinlein and Tolkien hadn't made it this far. I have all three on my own shelves, but I can't for the life of me figure out why Napoleonics gamers need Starship Troopers or LOTR, fantasy gamers should have copies of Chandler and Heinlein handy or science fiction gamers need Chandler and Tolkien in arm's reach.

How about a new poll: "Do you read poll questions before answering them?" I'd go with about 20% "No" on that one.

That's why I went with the "Ridiculous" category for every poll -- "Every gamer" does not need any of the books listed.

That's the poll suggestion topic, but I'm pretty sure we ran it.

I'll never see the appeal of starship troopers, the book.

I think people are actually voting for starship troopers the Avalon Hill game!

Nope. Says right there--"removed from Polls Suggestion Board."

They are removed from the TMP Poll Suggestions Board once the poll has been run.

I sit corrected, and will look through Completed Polls later.

"Completed Polls" don't seem to go back past July 2022. What am I missing?

Too many good ones to only pick 5, so … "all of the above" it is!
