Posts like this should be posted to the relevant period board, i.e. D-Day on WW2 board. |

Not a bad idea. Worth a shot. |

I know I know… everyone hates the idea of a new board. Wish I had a nickel for every post that started out like that. We already have this. Dear Editor has a banner that has the exact same thing. Do an internet search, you will get all the info on what happen on this date. So I vote no. |

Yep … great idea ! Phil |

I don't hate the idea of new boards. This, however, is already taken care of in many places on the web. |

If it's important enough, it's done anyway. With a board like this, it will be expected to be used every day, including the ones on which only obscure things happened. Who will be expected to do all the work? The assistant Editors, none of whom have any familiarity with military history or wargaming? |

And by the way, not everybody hates the idea of a new board. I am quite open to most of them. But not this one. |

As mentioned above, we already have the "this day in history" banner. If your day or event isnt listed, simply submit a banner to Dear Editor to add to the calendar. or we could have a poll to see if your event was tmp-worthy. |

The assistant Editors, none of whom have any familiarity with military history or wargaming? They are learning. |

I think this would be a great addition to TMP. We can always use this kind of information. |

I *always* support new boards. Really, anything that adds to the general confusion is good by me. But this one is a new board that I might actually read. |

Count another "Yes" from me. But before this is launched, please define "history". Will it be items directly related to wargaming, or will it include not only dates of historical events, but also cultural and political items, too? |
