Again, it really IS my scale and my genre--but not at the same time.

A suggestion: might want to divide the winners of the first round into two different subsequent rounds--one of soldiers in field uniforms, carrying weapons and able to be integrated into Bolt Action armies--call them the "Sven Hassels"--and the other of castings in civilian clothes or dress uniforms, possibly carrying handguns or such. Call them the "Casablancas." Otherwise, all we're ultimately going to find out is that more of us skirmish game WWII than RPG it, or the other way around.
