Heroscape: Road to the Forgotten Forest

It's a terrain expansion for Heroscape, but will non-Heroscape gamers be attracted by the trees?

None of the above!

All the choices are skirmish games. I prefer larger scale battles.

I like Rapid Fire or Spearhead myself – again, larger scale battles

Weasel29 Sep 2016 10:34 a.m. PST

I called it in advance that the final vote would be either Crossfire or Chain of Command :-)

rmaker29 Sep 2016 12:52 p.m. PST

Look Sarge, No Charts!

And Pratt's Naval Wargame.

Col Durnford29 Sep 2016 2:03 p.m. PST

Another vote for Rapid Fire.

I prefer Iron Ivan: Disposable Heroes for WWII skirmish to platoon sized games. I have for about 10 years. I will play NUTS as well, at a game convention.

kallman29 Sep 2016 2:33 p.m. PST

Other: Battlegroup

Battlefront – the game, not the company.

Like Kent says, it appears that the skirmish games are the most popular. I prefer platoon-per-stand Command Decision: Test of Battle or company-per-stand Great Battles of WWII. If pressed for a skirmish level, Nuts!

And somehow I was thinking that this was a poll about land miniatures. If not, General Quarters 3 for naval.

rmaker29 Sep 2016 7:13 p.m. PST

Crossfire and Chain of Command have three large advantages:

1. They are relatively new, but not so new as to be unknown,

2. They are heavily advertised, and

3. They are NOT Flames of War.

Wargamer Blue29 Sep 2016 10:19 p.m. PST

Bit of dodgy poll when a yahoo group is calling for its members to vote, and vote often.

Weird -- where's Flames of War in this poll? I don't play myself, but I gather that it's very popular, I see stuff in stores and lots of people playing it.

Hummster30 Sep 2016 2:10 a.m. PST

You can still only vote once though.

Flames of War went out in the earlier rounds, there may be a factor of the dedicated FoW players don't come to TMP but visit their own forums instead or that people play it but would prefer to play something else if they could find other players in their area.

Somebody better tell Trump and Clinton that encouraging people to vote will result in a dodgy poll!

richarDISNEY30 Sep 2016 7:15 a.m. PST

I prefer Disposable Heroes.

Right piper909 .
Now FoW? Weird. I don't play it anymore, but I know a ton of folks who still do.

Do not like any of the ones listed

Command Decision.

I fail to understand why in such a poll that has qualifying rounds, why there is always an "Other" option in the final poll! Surely the "Other" options have been eliminated in the previous rounds!

Anyway it was Chain of Command all the way for me!

Other: Rapid Fire and Blitzkreig Commander II (not into "skirmish" WWII at all)

Funny to have two TWOFATLardy products on the final list. Way to go Rich
