Bit of a loaded poll when nearly half are by the same author.

Waiting to see if Tom Kratman gets a mention.

Never heard of 90% of them and only read Dune, which I can't stand.

Looks like we may get to round 1J or more on this subject.

Read 3, liked two, neutral on Dune (first book of series.)

Dune was more political than military.
Id really like to see franchised materials eliminated in this type of poll.

Yeah, one franchise entry would be plenty.

Waiting for Everlasting War(Haldeman) and Old Man's War(Scalzi)
But I did pick A Small Colonial Affair too. Do yourself a favour and read all three books. You'll never forget the Variag!

Big fan of Sgt. Shelley, so great to see one of his here ( Though prefer the "Lucky 13th" trilogy ).

And of course it's Forever War and not 'Everlasting' War….

Dune was awesome… until the last two chapters. It totally felt like the author ran out of time and just stuffed three years' worth of events into the end to get it done. It was a real let-down after all the deep world-building he had done.

After reading Dune, I couldn't face any of the sequels, and they've remained unread since Uni.

How about CJ Cherryh's Hugo award winning Downbelow Station, the Simon Green Deathstalker novels. or Weber's Dahuk novels?

BTW, Clone Redemption is currently at the Dollar Tree. grin
