All roads should be exactly 4000 meters in length, no more, no less – otherwise you embrace anachronisms and rewrite history to suit your blinkered biases. But seriously, I do like a longer road strip because the join lines are so unsightly. Those <1 foot ones are useful but I'd like to have one that can run the length of the table and a couple that can traverse the width without a seam to be seen. Storage is the issue of course. Hang them up maybe? |

4 out of 5. One thing that gaming ACW taught us more than any other period. You can't have enough terrain. It just seemed to us, the ACW battlefield was a blackhole of terrain. You can't put enough down. |

I would think a hill or some kind of change in elevation would be the first thing you'd add for almost any historical period on land. |
