Organised ? Come on, I'm a wargamer, I don't do 'organised'. |

^^^^ Yeah, let's just call that "Other, it's too complicated and/or chaotic to explain" |

I use the haphazard method for shelving my rulesets. Rick |

The rule sets are on one shelf in the bookcase The history books are organized by period on the rest of the bookcase |

History books are separate from wargaming material. Books about wargaming, some of which may contain rules, have a special book case in my bedroom. Rule books are sorted by period and basing, and period or rules-specific scenarios are shelved by the rules. |

I always try to separate fact from fiction – especially nowadays. |

Very separate in fact in different rooms. x42 |

Bookcases are separated by theme with one shelf for rules and the rest of the case for other related stuff. Visually pleasing materials are kept at eye level, shelves towards the floor end up being more disheveled. |

A true poll has one question per possible answer. This has three questions, yet expects one answer. Answer to questions as posed: I shelve all of my unboxed minis rulebooks together by category and/or rules system (so Warmaster and Warmaster Ancients are shelved together). However, RPG rules are in separate places, as are boxed rules. My reference histories/philosophies related to war or wargaming are shelved by the wargaming rules. Other histories, bios, etc., are on different shelves. Most of my SciFi and Fantasy are shelved together, but a few classic or often-read works are in other shelves. It's a system that I understand, so it's organized for me…others, maybe not so much. |

Aye – maybe it should read: Where do you store your rulebooks? a) right alongside books dealing with the same subject matter (i.e., ACW rules with ACW, Scifi with SciFi, WW2 with WW2, etc) b) separately, in a single section just for rule books. c) any old place |

SWMBO is a librarian. I store them wherever she tells me to. |

Mu books and rules are filed/stored separately. My history books are filed on book shelves in the den by historical period/war chronically. My rules are filed in a file cabinet by period in my game room. |

My rulebooks are separate from the rest of the books. As to storing the books, they are shelved by size. |

I've been cutting down both my library and my rule books to the ones I truly use and want. Recently, I've been mixing my small number of rules sets with the appropriate history books. Right now, I like it. In a year or so, maybe not. Or maybe I will. Or won't. Whichever. |
ZULUPAUL | 15 Aug 2017 5:45 p.m. PST |
Oh I'm supposed to organize them? Well at least I know where most of the rulebooks are. |
rmaker | 16 Aug 2017 5:05 p.m. PST |
Well, right now they're mostly in boxes. We're moving. |
kodiakblair | 19 Aug 2017 6:19 p.m. PST |
All mashed together on the shelves. I do keep the digital rules and history books in separate folders though :-) |
