The best skirmish modern, near-future or sci-fi game I've ever played. It can be fairly simple if you are just using regular grunts or very complicated if you add in all of the other stuff in the game. Either way it requires a lot of thought about the movement of your models and no one can easily survive running out into the open in the face of the enemy. |

Never heard of it previously. Or if I have I forgot. |

The rules were a lot more involved than my group was interested in but it's one of the few games to really take technology seriously and its one of the few cyberpunk games on the market. |

It's a good ruleset, but a little too fiddly for me. |

The game design is first rate. As a former infantryman, I appreciate the action reaction system and think the rules do a great job with small unit combat. Having said that, I think the game was ruined by power creep designed to keep players buying new stuff. Older models don't stand a chance against newer ones. You have to keep buying the newer admittedly pretty but expensive figures. |

Read through Quick Start Version, never played it. Looked very appropriate for cyberpunk skirmishes but too fussy and proprietary for my group. We want to concentrate on the story/game, not the rules. |

"Older models don't stand a chance against newer ones. " I completely disagree with this. A first edition Kazak with a rifle still has a chance to eliminate anything else on the battlefield, pretty much. Sure there are troops with TO camouflage but they have been around since the first wave of releases. One of the best things about Infinity is there is no power creep whatsoever. |

The sculpt maybe updated but not the stats, right? Or is SWR saying the newest models are statted out with nigh-invulnerable kit and skills that render them unstoppable by bog-standard grunts, regardless of sculpt? |
