How about Cold War Realities as understood by NATO during the Cold War? It's not fantasy, it's based on the actual intelligence assumptions of the time without the Monday morning quarterback. |

Yea, looks like my preferred option got "nuked", which seems rather appropriate for the period. Agreed, Cold War "realities" as we believed them to be at the time, e.g. 3:1 – 5:1+ odds against NATO, and in favor of the communists, depending upon the weapons in play (tanks, IFVs, artillery, jets, etc., etc.), or troop types. |

J Womack 94 – We're referring to the actual scenario book, not the period. As author of that book, I divided the scenarios into the three buckets (what we thought in the West; what the reality of it was based on declassified WARPACT and Soviet documents; and 'Hollywood' scenarios). |
