Sounds a bit formal to me! Not really my thing. Drinks and nibbles is a better option..

A tournament over a couple of days, then yes, of course. I would say that the couple of tournaments I took part in, the tournament dinner was pretty informal and great fun.

Well, that's at least partly "no" because I don't take part in tournaments--and there would be the inevitable speeches.

But dinner with friends at a convention is always nice, and as long as the SYWA put on the Christopher Duffy lectures following a catered dinner, I was at the CLS Table.

It depends.

No excuse not to be civil

I don't often attend tournaments but if someone was nice enough to organize a dinner and they were friends I would attend

David Manley01 Jan 2018 11:29 a.m. PST

i would, and i have in the past

Another "no" vote from someone who doesn't play tournaments. Mind you, I am anti-social at the best of times and I stopped playing tournaments because they seemed to attract exactly the type of people I wouldn't want to have dinner with but if asked I would probably attend.

And leave as early as possible.

Don't do tournaments, so "no."
If I did, "possibly."

Will they be serving War Gamer food?
