Well LBJ is on the list.

He had JFK killed so that he could become President.

Biggest Scoundrel on this list.

I was really talking about the successful ones like Oswald

I don't know the ones between Booth and Oswald they weren't important enough to be taught in High school but then again with me and 4 siblings all attending the same HS and the same teacher not one of use got past Grant in American History

Charles Guiteau shot President James Garfield twice while the President was waiting for his train at the Baltimore and Pacific RailRoad station in Washington DC. Garfield was going on vacation and was waiting for his friend Robert Todd Lincoln. Lincoln arrived just in time to witness the shooting. Guiteau was later diagnosed as insane. He felt he had written a speach for Garfield that won him the presidency and was disappointed when not appointed ambassador to France.

William McKinley was shot while shaking hands at the Pan American Exposition in Buffalo New York. His assassin Leon Czolgosz was an anarchist. Interestingly McKinley was expecting his friend Robert Todd Lincoln who was traveling with his family to see McKinley at the exposition. Lincoln's train arrived just after the assasination.

I never heard that detail about Guiteau. I just read that he was a "disappointed office seeker".

The Onion newspaper hd a headline that read something like "JFK shot by the mafia, Cubans, CIA, LBJ" – you get the idea. Mithmee have you seen it?

Well LBJ was very successful.

JFK ended dead and he very quickly became President.

Best Coup ever.
