I don't have many undead figures, but those I do have feature at least two quite different skin colours: the vampire about at the palest end of natural human skin colour, while the ghosts are light grey.

I use regular skin color, then a green wash. They're rotting away, after all.

My first zombies were the Wargames Foundry cowboy ones.
I just heavily drybrushed some light green over Dark Flesh.
It was impressively disgusting.

Other = whatever is in reach that looks like it will do.

Depends what Undead it is, ghoul, zombie, vampire or other, and its habitat, whether from the frozen wastes to the burning deserts. So, my Undead are a variety of colours from the palest to the darkest, and everything in between.

Perfect answer for just about anything, really.
One of my jobs in the past was matching mew lots of cloth and vinyl against authored color Masters, and actually rejecting lots that did not confirm. That never happened, of course, because the manufacturer was just as finicky letting it out the door.

But in 1777? Non color fast dyes? I'll reach for the nearest blue, nearest red, nearest green…

The closest thing I have to "undead" are some Tolkien orcs. I use a base of black, highlighted with just about any pale colour in a range from flesh to pale green.

Give me a second, I'll look.

Sort of grayish.

But my minis are painted greenish.
