Bill's house, Bill's rules?

I think that once you make it past the city limits, you should not have to keep looking over your shoulder for the posse.

Bill should drop the Dawghouse and institute fines. That way he could afford a staff to make all of the changes that people want. I'm thinking first offense would be a warning, after that its $100 USD per violation. Then he could bring back CA and retire about a week later, eliminate the national debt, fund a mission to Mars, and maybe buy GW or Foundry or something.

I think irishserb has a good point, unless Bill has non-profit status.

Rudofaux20 Mar 2010 12:43 p.m. PST

but now there is a problem I see. what stops the offender from not paying the "Dawg House Fine" & simply creating a new account under a Pseudo-name? Then we'll have a troll problem.

Capital punishment for parking violations. That's what I say! Go only as as back as the first posting. As a matter of fact if it does not get totally deleted someone should be able to hit the complain button again!

PzGeneral nailed it for me !

The thought of someomne sweating for 30 days when they've gone over the top has a certain mkacabre attraction as well….hahahahahahahahaha….so the fool thinks he's got awaywith does he, well, we'll just bide our time for 29 days and then ….whammo…into the slammer ! Bawhahwahwah !

I love cunning evil plans.

Hey how about a total of 20 people at a time in the Hundhause and it stays full until someone new is added. The 21st person causes someone to be released but here's the best part it isn't a FIFO system. No it's totally random so you have no idea when you are getting out. Oh and to make it even more painful only 3 day statute of limitations on infractions.

Hunh? Who's with me?

kyoteblue20 Mar 2010 5:52 p.m. PST

Not so much….

So OFM has been watching Silverado

Capital punishment for parking violations. That's what I say!

And Vojvoda had been rereading Larry Niven.

I am with DRDHuser. That is so complicted that it will never work fairly, and I like that.

Bill is doing some harsh parenting here – the lesson is that life is not fair (and the world don't owe you a living). Nasty lessons, but worth learning.

Some of us should be old enough to know this already, but maybe not.

"Bill's house, Bill's rules?"

People have tried making suggestions to make TMP better but always get the above line thrown in their face. It's clear that Bill doesn't want change otherwise he'd ask us for ideas to change TMP.

Hey, they may be nonsensical rules, but they're OUR nonsensical rules! 8)=

I would miss the cute little dog icon if we did away with DH completely.

John, are you planning on giving the Mother of All Rants in the near future?

kyoteblue22 Mar 2010 10:47 p.m. PST

Seem that the Dawg Haus is filling up…….

Release the hounds Smithers. I already don't listen to most of you anyway, but John is my hero, so I look for his posts. :) <-- I know he likes smiley faces

If no one has complained within two weeks and Bill hasn't acted on it already then it seems like it's not that big an infraction. Either quick punishment or no punishment, no more of this going back six months to nail someone for something let slip by earlier.

Let's add something to the mix, though. If more than 10 folks (!) someone, then obviously what he (or, of course, she) has done is pretty egregious. Longer sentences for more complaints.

Backlogs in the criminal justice systme do not eliminate the need to pursue justice.

Allen

vojvoda24 Mar 2010 10:07 p.m. PST

Criminal justice! Hang em high! Bill FWIW should be DHed for lack of due dilligence in keeping up with the complaints! I know I hit the ! button on OFM and Allen at least five or six time at least last month. grin
