Any green you want! They're your orcs.

True story – in fact, in Lord of the Rings Tolkien doesn't actually specify a colour at all

I like Goblin Green, but that's just me

nazrat22 May 2013 6:45 a.m. PST

Goblin Green for regular Orcs and Goblins, and Dark Angels Green shaded lighter with GG for the Bosses.

Ceramcote forest Green.

VIVID!
I actually put a coat of Vajello's neon green on last for that 'pop'.
They really are quite visually stunning.

I paint all my orks that way. GW games or not.

It's quite a while since I last painted Orcs or Goblins and can't remember what I used but looking at them "All of the above" might be the correct answer.

I've painted their like Goblin Green with Orc Flesh wash and a highlight of goblin green.

The Orkish Revolutionary Committee refuses to promote this baseless stereotype promulgated by capitalist exploiters of Orkish proletariat and our Goblin brothers.

A long time ago I painted a few. As I recall, I used some chromate green that was near at hand. Hey, they're orcs they don't need to look good.

Mine are all in Fall colors… yellows, oranges, reds and browns… with a few spotty albinos.
My old Ral Partha and Grenadier orcs are purple.

ming3122 May 2013 11:55 a.m. PST

All different kinda of green , humans are not all the same shade of flesh , why should orcs.

Mithmee22 May 2013 12:59 p.m. PST

not green – mine are black.

My Space Orks skin color is a base of a dark red with about two to three highlights. This contrasts well with their soviet green uniform color I use with their apparel. Mine are Russkie Orks you see.

When I have painted WFB Orks I have stared with a base of goblin Green, green ink wash then highlight with Goblin Green with a little bit of white added.

glad to know others, paint their orcs different colors as well.

Etotheipi, those orcs look great with white face paint. I may have to try that as well.

I don't do Warhammer, but my Warmaster Orcs and Bo5A goblins are a kind of sickly green color. I use Delta Ceramcoat "Seminole Green" (what's "Seminole" about it, I have no idea). As that's OOP and I'm running out, I picked up FolkArt "Clover," which is supposed to be a match according to a color chart. Doesn't look like clover to me, but whatever.

Goblin green. Only collect Night Goblins though, and the contrast looks great.

Damon.

Phospherescent?

Tolkien explains that Orcs are the result of captured, tortured and twisted Elves, so green doesn't particularly make much sense to me. Mine range from dark red to a sickly yellow flesh.

Since they are twisted Elves, green could theoretically be okay, but I'm just sayin'.

Goblin green with dark green wash (which GW doesn't make anymore-aargg!). Tried making my own dark green wash, still isn't dark enough.

moonfleetminis01 Dec 2013 9:40 a.m. PST

As said, any colour they are after all my orcs to paint.
But i do paint them green.
