My old club used to use 1/600 for all our naval gaming. We had access to a basketball court, so playing area was fantastic. For rules we had the Fletcher Pratt system, and used upside down golf tees for shell splashes. We bought 10-12 Tasco rifle scopes, pretty inexpensive, really, and would use these as range finders, etc. The players would lay down on the floor and do their ranging and ID through the scopes. made for some great games. |

TKindred, that sounds like fun! I've been a fan of 1/700 scale ever since I discovered the old Japanese waterline models from Tamiya and other manufacturers. I'd like to recreate the strafing scene from the movie 'Action in the North Atlantic' in that scale. |

1/600 for coastal convoys, 1/3000 for larger actions such as North Atlantic and Med battles |
