I find Vallejo overrated. Too expensive, the nozzle clogs and they have a short shelf life once opened. Even virgin bottles tend to have the pigment separate out in older bottles. A friend gifted me about 100 bottles he had had, and none were salvageable. |

I like them. The dropper-type bottle does lead to a lot of wastage, but as long as you keep the nozzle clear it's a cleaner system than most of the other bottles on the market. Mixing can be a chore, although I now use a ball bearing mixer thing which helps. And despite the wastage, a single bottle seems to last for a very long time. The range of colors is great, too. I think about 75% of my paints are now Vallejo. |

Too limited a color selection. I haven't used Vallejo in a while. Ceramcoat is a lot less expensive and quite good. |

Never experienced short shelf life, some bottles clog but are easily reopened, the paint is high quality and I have never experienced pigment separation in any of my many bottles. Vallejo is a mainstay of my painting table, but it is not the only brand I use. |

Other – some quite bright yellow, it's nice. |

Not that expensive, I've never had a nozzle clog, and I've not experienced short shelf life either. Some separation of content can occur, but that's why God gave us hands and arms. |

I thought the Vallejo had a lifetime warranty |

To answer the question, I guess my favorite would be the German Field Grey as I have used a lot of that. In response to the points that others have made, my experience has been good. I have not seen pigment separation and I do make sure the paint is shaken very thoroughly and vigorously. I also have been pleased with it's ability to mix with other colors, and I am pleased with the color assortment. I have yet to have a bottle become clogged or a bottle spoil and harden up. I frequently have paint dry out at the nozzle. I have pins and what was once aa cell phone antenna on my desk so I can put a hole in the dry paint and squirt out some liquid paint. Perhaps somebody has a trick to keep it from clogging? My current frustration is with the metallics. I'm on my second bottle of Natural Steel, which is much darker than my first bottle, and no amount of shaking seems to fix this. I sometimes mix in some Silver, but that seems to be drying out. Beyond that, just now when I voted, we had: I don't use Vallejo paints 20% This is ridiculous 20% None of these/no opinion 15% That is 55%, which leaves me wondering what useful function this poll will perform. Especially since other non-answer answers account for 19%. Maybe I just don't get the point of this poll. I voted for Off White, which I find to be very useful, since pure whites are so rare as to be almost non-existent. Is it my favorite, in the sense of being the one I think is the prettiest? No. But it is quite useful. Grelber |

Don't use them much but I do like their Leather Brown – I think if I used them for bigger things than belts and tack I might have some of the concerns noted above |

I agree with Shagnasty. But my favorite Vallejo is Natural Steel. It's been consistent for me. |

I use Vallejo metallic colors only, particularly Old Gold. Someone please tell me how you keep your dropper bottles from clogging. |

Apparently you shove the clog back into the paint with a wire. |

Or you take the nozzle off and push it out that way. |

Oily Steel. So useful for metallic areas that would get a lot of wear. |
