An effective and simple to use design tool. As a player I like either opposed rolls or some type of saving throw. That way psychologically I feel I have some control over the outcome if I am attack without provocation.

Ogre for me, too--right on the edge between board and miniatures gaming.

I use a Combat Results table regularly, but a Cathode Ray Tube – not for a long time ..
