I have enough for my needs at home and our group game days. What I don't have I can generally borrow for the scenario from someone in the group.

I have enough but put 8 since many pieces aren't painted yet.

My 10 is a mild cheat. If the armies and rules are complete, so's the terrain. Ongoing projects are, by definition, not yet complete.

But it took far too long to reach this point.

More than enough of some things (15mm buildings) and not enough of others. But usually can manage between my own stuff and the club's.

I counted back from 10, as 10 is "everything I need." I subtracted 1 for every piece of terrain I could think of which I didn't have but would like to (which, for a hobby, counts as "need.") I wound up at 4, but I probably could have gone lower.

Complete?!? I don't understand how that could ever happen…

I certainly have a lot of terrain. Voted 5 since I don't think I'll ever stop making terrain to add on to old projects or to go with new ones.

I have to agree with miniMo. I said "7," but it really is hard to define. I have a lot of varied gaming interests, which makes it almost impossible to quantify. It really depends upon how much/if at all, I pursue some of my interests.

I hope to run a very large game of 54mm Army Men, this Summer. For that, I need to finish a bunch of MDF Buildings. I also need to build up a bunch of 4' x 8' plywood gaming tables. Not a requirement to even run the game, but it is a heart's desire of mine. Had a game on a 12' x 30' table setup, around five years ago. Hoping to relive that experience, only with a city fight, building to building, street by street. Gotta dream, as it is what makes life so much fun and so very interesting. Cheers!

Ah, the impossible dream of completeness! I might have said as much about troops at one stage, and certainly acted that way. But in more recent years, I've come to think more of table size and scenarios. If I've got the troops, say, for any Grant horse & musket scenario in 28mm on a 6x8 board, I've got enough troops. And when I have as much woods and as many houses as I want to use on such a board, I have enough woods and houses. It's a simple and somewhat subjective system, but it limits the amount of stuff you buy that you never get around to playing with.

Working on 28mm WW1 Trench boards, Minas Tirith, and 15mm Eastern European villages currently. Not close to done.

Always working on my 15mm ACW, and 15mm African Wars Bongolesia stuff.

Complete terrain? That's crazy talk

I have probably enough trees in 15/28mm but nowhere near enough hills or roads – and much less than I would like for 6mm
