I was torn on this one but – hey – he's the Father of the USA

Crazy Horse-the Next Generation Tank should be his.

Brigadier General Rosie O'Donnell

CIC Ronald Reagan.

Charlton Heston as a backup. His tank should be an airmobile variant, since he flew on B-25s in the Army Air Corps.

I voted Teddy Roosevelt. But I still think the Marines need a tank named after "CHesty" Puller. Put a bayonet mount on the end of the main gun just for him.

"Where do you put the bayonet on the damn thing?" (upon seeing a flamethrower demonstrated for the first time)[

Was Sgt. York ever considered? He's overdue, and I'd like to see a real system named after him instead of that pieceacrap that was named after him in the 90s.

I picked Audie Murphy. Naming a tank after America's greatest heroes seems appropriate to me.

There is (was) a Sergeant York – the M247 anti-aircraft defense platform – great idea, just didn't work very well

Voted for Roosevelt but an Eisenhower tank seems to obvious I am amazed it hasn't been done.

I figure Roosevelt and Eisenhower have things like carriers named after them so I chose Murphy. Though maybe his should be a tank destroyer.

Went Audie Murphy, (even if an Infantryman,) just edging out Crazy Horse.

Would be cool to do a Native American – that is if their is not an out cry against it.

I went with Truscott but I dig Crazy Horse as well. I cannot see ANYONE complaining about that name. I kind of think its cool to see Crazy Horse charging into battle once more. If they do it, please Dear God let the tank be good. not some Sgt. York, Bradley, LCS or F-35 cobble job disaster.

What features should be included on the Crazy Horse main battle tank could be a good subject for a new multi choice poll …

I think whiplash aerials would be a must … plus exceptionally high speed … (and maybe one or two silly things that I ought not to mention – but what do you think?) …

wink Phil

Roosevelt is a natural: the vehicle could be nick-named the "Rough Rider"! :)
