Here We Stand

USAFpilot19 Feb 2019 7:53 a.m. PST

John Snow and the dragon chick will rule jointly.

Winston Smith19 Feb 2019 8:49 a.m. PST

Jon Snow (Aegon Targaryen) will shatter Longclaw while fighting the Night King. But since he has been resurrected by the Lord of Light, he is just as much a wight as the Night King! They can't harm each other!
The fight moves on. Like a good little "not Aragorn", Jon/Aegon gathers up the shards of Longclaw.
Gendry helps Aegon reforge the Sword into Lightbringer. Alas! Jon must plunge the Sword into the lovely breast of Danaerys (Nissa Nissa)! Thus is Lightbringer reborn.
Jon/Aegon slays the Night King, but life is no longer worth living, so he falls on his sword. His last words are "Burn my body!" So, Edd does.
The Lords of the North proclaim Sansa Queen in the North. With Brienne as Lord Commander of the Queen's Rangers.
Spring comes!
Everyone marches South, to sort out Bad Guys. Tyrion and Jaime bicker over who is the Volanquar. Arya rolls her eyes and stabs Cersei with Needle.
Bunnies and fawns caper in the meadow.
Sansa is proclaimed Queen of Everything Else, and decides Tyrion isn't such a bad guy after all and they renew their vows. He is also named Hand.
Edd and Bronn quarrel over who has the most badass cutting remarks and slay each other.
Jaime becomes the 1000th Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. With nothing much to do, he lives a long miserable life brooding. Bran torments his dreams.
Meera comes back and slaps Bran silly for being a jerk. He doesn't notice.

Meanwhile in the Far Far North in the Land That Is Always Winter… A blue light glows in a cave mouth.

Final scene. Sam in a black suit, bearded, wearing a cap and blue jewel, dumps a two foot thick manuscript on a publisher's desk in New York. "What do you think?"
Benioff and Weiss nod to the representatives of the Iron Bank who bring out several wheelbarrows full of Gold Dragons.
Out in the hall, Lady Stoneheart gargles "But what about Me?" But nobody can understand what she's saying. After all, her throat is slashed.
THE END

Thank goodness I haven't started watching!

…so what IS the iron throne?

Mithmee19 Feb 2019 1:55 p.m. PST

Jon Snow is not a Targaryen, since his father was Robert Baratheon.

Robert more than likely Raped Ned's sister thus getting her pregnant.

Which is why Ned stayed up at Winterfall and did not go down to King's Landing.

Winston Smith19 Feb 2019 2:47 p.m. PST

Ned did go to Kings Landing. He was the first on the scene after Jaime skew the King.
Ned should have been the Kingslayer. No broken vows, and a nice clean revenge motive.

And in the show, Lyanna is quite certain that Rhaegar is the father. Why else would she tell Ned that his name was Aegon Targaryen?
Bran's snoopy pervy "visions" confirm this.

I think Mithmee was joking :-)

Jon Snow is a Targaryen, and he was born IN wedlock, so going by bloodlines, that makes him a legal contender for the throne. Same for Dani. No idea which of the two would have a better claim, this being a fantasy world and all.

Doesn't mean either of them get the throne. Claiming a throne, and taking and keeping it are different things.

No, I don't think he was joking.
He's been slandering Good King Robert for some time now, the blackguard!
