In fantasy and sf I do it a lot but in modern human stuff no. x42 |

I think they can be mixed selectively – as noted by 42Brown, you can certainly mix for fantasy and sci-fi (your 10mm modest medium tank can be a formidable 6mm dreadnaught for sci-fi) but I would not mix for historical |

In historical I'd say no, 10mm is almost twice the size, though that would depend to some extent on the manufacturer. |

Fantasy/Svi-Fi most definitely yes. Historicals aircraft & ground troops yes. |

For historicals I would mix 1:285 aircraft with 10mm ground forces, and I mix terrain – again using smaller terrain with 10mm. But I would not use 10mm and 6mm ground forces together. As it is – 1:285 GHQ troops look like giants compared to vehicles in the same scale. For fantasy & sci-fi – sure. |

I use 6mm buildings with 2mm and 3mm figs so imagine 10mm buildings with 6mm would work fine. When it comes to figures, since I don't play sci-fi or fantasy, I'll say no. |
