I'm no fan of him, but Nixon … a traitor?

Corrupt, sure.

Can't say I like/liked Nixon BUT he certainly was not a traitor.

Well, he certainly violated his oath of office. Perhaps not technically treason, but close.

In the United States, treason is constitutionally defined:

"Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort."

I could name many of Nixon's enemies who might legitimately be charged with such, but not Nixon.

If violating the oath of office is "not technically treason, but close" shall we list the high office holders who have exceeded their constitutional authority? We'd need a new wing at Leavenworth to hold them, and there are no suitable miniatures for a prison riot game.

Which is why TMP should do miniatures and not politics.

I am just surprised that this has not led to more people in the dog house.
