X-Acto knife. Use the sharpened edge of the blade for cutting (along with a steel ruler) and the back side of the blade for scoring/embossing. Then you can use the handle (both side and flat end) for creasing the seams prior to gluing. All you really need is a good X-Acto knife (I prefer the one with the all-metal handle) a steel ruler and a glue stick. |

I use a steel ruler too. Strange it was not here as it is the best thing for straight line cuts. It is always nearby for paper modellers. |

A hand-made device originally used to pierce earlobes. It has a cylindrical plastic handle with a length of sharpened steel rod embedded in it. I use it for many hobby requirements. Don't ask how I got it: it's a long & pain-ridden story. |

Small diameter crochet needle (thieved fromed the wife's collection) works quite well. |

I use a small knitting needle to score my models. It has a nice fine point and will not damage the model. |

Shazaam, I just folded them and ran my fingernail along the fold. I'll have to try some of these options next time I put one together. |

I have never been a paper modeller. I used to eat the paste in school. |
