Some people like big games and can afford the time and effort to make them happen. Others don't. To each his own. I like big games and have a mature collection that allows me to play them. If someone wants to play Saga, I'm good with that too. But big games won't be dying on my watch. |

The attraction of the smaller games is the ability to game other periods with a lesser investment in time and money; it doesn't replace the spectacle of a big game. Rick |

To the Strongest is the only big game I play now. |

I do BIG games, Waterloo, Oudenaarde, Mohacs, Appocalypse. And skirmish games, Force on Force etc. I like the spectacle. To each his own. |

I prefer Big Games but it is harder to get others to invest the time. |

I had to figure out which Poll choice was a simple "NO". I hope I got it tight. |

Going strong in my quarter. Played a 54mm game on a 20' x 30' table. We played for two days. It was a Blast! Planning another one in the Spring. Cheers! |

Painted over 1000 figures this year. I hope to play with them next year! |

"Taking a hit this year, but will be back" was obviously too subtle for the pollsters. |

Skirmish or small scale games are great but people's tastes differ – I myself prefer grand tactical, i.e. big games Actually we are doing one now via email – SYW, 28mm, 15 infantry battalions/11 cavalry regiments on one side, 12 infantry battalions/10 cavalry regiments on the other side; going well and I love it |

I believe the shift to more rule sets for smaller numbers of figures will mature into larger games as well There will always be a place for Skirmish, Tactical, and Grand Tactical |

I suspect it's true that the median number of figures used in a game is trending downwards, but that hardly amounts to big games dying. And the trend, if there is one, will be reversed if GW starts to emphasize huge figure counts again. |

Love to look at "Big Games", but hate to play in them. They tend to have too many participants for my taste. |

Voted "same as ever" – they might be in slight decline but I think they'll recover: skirmish games are fun and fast but they're also limited. All one can do in the end is to make the table bigger and use more figures and at some point it stops being a skirmish – or the skirmish rules don't work well for too many figures. |

You can't beat the specticle of big games. Once you go big, you won't go back! |
