Who needs it ? They have web pages, magazine adverts and TMP news. I don't need an update more often than that (thanks anyway !). |

Contrary to popular belief, I am NOT a twit! |
The Beast Rampant | 27 Nov 2015 9:01 a.m. PST |
Considering the reaction here, it seems "man, screw Twitter!" would should have been a really popular option. |
nazrat | 27 Nov 2015 12:14 p.m. PST |
I have no idea how to use Twitter or why I would want to… |

I am in agreement with MajorB and nazrat and I am unanimous about that! |

I have a Twitter account which I have not logged into since the day after I registered it. I have no idea what prompted me to want other peoples' projectile brain diarrhea pouring into my phone. LT |

As a writer for teens and tweens, and a librarian for the same, I use Twitter as a fun access and promotional tool to keep up with readers, writer colleagues, and editors, and the occasional side interest (like the Philae asteroid lander "tweets."). I don't tend to follow anyone outside that sphere. For hobby news I come here, or visit boardgamegeek, or go directly to company websites. Ironically, I think a lot of companies do Twitter thinking it will bring young, hip teen/YA consumers to their products. That only works if you actually pay for Twitter "push" ads. Otherwise, if you already are hip, the hip wil already be following you, in which case you don't really need it. If you aren't already hip, they're never going to search for your Twitter account or follow you, so you're wasting your time. |

I have not seen anything good come from anyone using Twitter whereas I have observed countess instances of people committing boorish, vulgar, career ending and occasionally criminal stupidity by typing without thinking. |

I don't like Twitter. Blizzard, producers of World Of Warcraft, use Twitter a lot to update their gaming community. I wanted actual information, like when server crashes would be resolved… not 100 messages a week about fan art. That was my first, only, and last attempt at using Twitter seriously. |

None shows as a poll result but not as a vote choice… Am I in Chicago and identified as an Independent (There are no Republicans and Independents are simply brain washed view common in Chicago it seems)? Shades of the old comedy record… "Vote for the Kennedy of your choice…" |

Twitter was only designed for those who can't consider a well developed thought longer then 140 characters! If that's the best you can do, then you need not communicate with me at any time! Should I wish to communicate with another person directly I'll call them on the phone, or write them a letter! It always seems to be more effective, and memorable that way! |
WarWizard | 30 Nov 2015 12:52 p.m. PST |
I have no desire to follow anyone or any company on Twitter. |
