WWII is not something I usually game … Gut feeling is probalistic, but thinking a bit about it, deterministic might work well for a relatively zoomed out game. Effectively weapons would have different ranges depending on the target is infantry in the open, infantry in cover, vehicles or whatever. |

I picked "deterministic" but really, as Last suggests, it's a matter of level. Being able to spot the sniper every time in a 1:1 game is about as bad as playing stand=company and sitting on a mountain unable to see the division passing on the road below. |

Deterministic with the caveat that things like moving AFVs who are firing are pretty easy to spot so the rules need to recognize/address this |
