While I find it hard to do fiddly bits anyway, I like it both ways and, most importantly, I have a source for buying painted miniatures that is priced excellently so so I really like it when both options are provided by the seller/sculptor. Once I am into a game such as Air War C21, my attention is on the action and my role – Air to Air, Air to Mud/Water, Recon, etc.. and I really only refer to the sheet with my ordnance when I am dropping/launching/shooting. |

Cast on is nice in some cases, though in others it gets in the way, e.g. center-line bombs and drop tanks. A bit hard to mount those on flight stands, unless you are using thin wire that you've drilled a hole into, on them. |

The biggest problem is when you have some that have weapons that were not used until late in a multiple year war (P-38J with rockets, P-47D with rockets for WW2,) or were uncommon in usage. See auction and auction for example. Yes, you can ignore the ordnance but it does seem limiting or weird to me. |
