This could really happen to me. I'm 63 years old and have been doing this for 40+ years. Over the last few years I went from a 5 page project list down to 3 pages. My purchasing is only to add a unit here and there (no more full armies). I paint far more than I buy. I have even begun to sell off some dead end projects. My retirement plan is continue to sell until the collection is mostly liquidated.

I am trying desperately to be selective in what I start, but I will always have some project that is in the works. At some point I may sell of most everything but a few pet projects.

Ideally I would give "terrain" one vote and "play more games" four votes. Because surely that is the final aim of all the buying and researching and painting.

Or is the journey more enjoyable than the destination ? I'm sure it is for some. And, thinking about it some more, I do enjoy making lists and scouring catalogues and dreaming about the games I will have with my fabulous armies.

It's probably just me though grin

I'll never get to live 430+ years…..

In such an instance, I would just kick back and relax for a century or two, since I am clearly immortal.

My Lead Mountain will more likely finish me.

I am closing in on VCarter here – but once I retire if I had them all painted then I might actually go to cons
