I have noticed it. I got started in the period in the 70s when I bought my first set of rules for early 1700s. Club members just couldn't understand my interest in what was an obscure period at the time.

I'm seeing a bit of fuss right now, but there's always that sort of fuss over something. Some things--fantasy and science fiction gaming, stand-removal systems, polyhedral dice--change the hobby. This is more like hemlines or the buttons on a man's suit. Wait three years, and there will be a bunch of GNW armies in the back of closets, mostly unfinished, somewhere between the pirates and the zombies, maybe not too far from VBCW.

I just hope people complete some of the armies and get a few good games out of them first.

Never not been the new black. GNW has been a cornerstone of the Baccus ranges for the best part of two decades. The 6mm world has been gaming the the northern wars in all their glory well before it was 'discovered' by all the bigger scale players. Welcome to the party chaps. Where have you been?

No doubt, it's Vladimir Putin pushing this with a team of hackers working to promote GNW.

I've got a new GNW project going on using Warfare Miniatures. I,like the Swedish battle tactics, which are fun, and admire the sea of Russian green.

I like it. But I stand by what I said in the PPD.

Take a good, admiring look at the Warfare figures. Very, very hard to resist. I couldn't.
But Peter is right. GNW has been going strong in 6mm for years now and the spectacle of seeing all those blue and yellow (and red, white and orange) Swedes going against all those green ( and red, blue white brown) Russians is simply awesome.
