I voted 54mm but not really sure if shooting at the figures count as wargaming.

I use them as an invading army to teach young marksmen to aim. It is amazing how much better they do with shooting at the communists or storm troopers then at paper targets.

54s and 60s should be in the same category like 25s and 28s.

I ran a 1:1 scale superhero game with store mannequins in an evacuated store (was going to be demoed by a friend). We spray painted the "dolls" up and used giant foam dice and measured in paces.

We also played paintball there afterwards.

28mm. I can't imagine ever playing anything bigger (and have actually moved smaller to primarily 15 and 20mm).

40mm will base in the same space footprint as 28mm and look better.

I am dabbling in 40mm AWI.

Have done 54mm – I have 75mm and 90mm figs, but they are for painting/display only; never gamed with them

54mm and 60mm are separate and distinct sizes. They should be counted separately. Many of those who collect 54mm would not be found dead with a 60mm figure in their collections.

I OTOH have thousands of 60mm and will use the larger 54mm figures if needed, as they are often not precise in size.

I war game in 1:1 scale :) I have a full suit of armor and a bag full of weapons.

you could just call it a Marshal art but when we spar/battle and have 100 plus fighters on a side and no clue who will win its a war game.

The largest "scale" wargame I have participated in was 1:1 with a couple of divisions on a side (Reforger). Did it twice once as a company level umpire and once as member of a Mech Infantry Battalion which was part of Red Force. Some where I still have a copy of the Rule Book
