If you count my Tigers, out numbered over twenty to one, and driving the 1st Rhode Island off the field. That would be combat effective.

A great unit – the Tigers – but by late 1862 pretty much exhausted

I have a soft spot for the Tigers, but they weren't a brigade. It was tough to choose between Hood's Texans and the Stonewall Brigade, but I had to come down on the side of Stonewall.

Louisiana Tigers were an entire brigade? I thought they were a regiment.
