Barclay de Tolly the man that destroyed a 650 000 strong French/allied army. Winter only killed a fraction of the army, Napoleon only had like 50-70 000 left by the time winter set in. |

Not sure how de Tolly gets all the credit for that? Also not sure about those stats either. But then I'm no expert on Napoleonics. I voted Suvorov btw. |

It was his plan that destroyed the French army. Winter only set in the last few weeks, by then the French army was already beaten and in full retreat with hundreds or thousands of French getting captured or killed each day by Cossacks and other Russians. |
