Tried once many years ago and decided this was not for me.

Might use balsa for a frame but would generally use foam board for the walls, roof etc.

I'm not familiar with foam board. I've heard of it, but I've been happy enough with balsa and bass wood.
I also use skewers I buy at grocery stores for logs for cabins, bunkers, etc…

Scored basswood is the best thing invented for scratchbuilding.

When doing the whole go, I use wood for framing and for railings and the like. The structure itself is the cardstock buildings from various (much better than me) stockists like Eric Hotz and Paper Terrain.

I don't build buildings.

In addition to wood, I've also used styrene sheet, foamcore, and even plaster. It all depends on the building.

I build several balsa/bass wood buildings for use in Rail Wars some time back. I was happy with the results, but haven't built any sizable scenics since(only things like fences or dumpsters).

Though about a month ago, I tried my hand at simple wood modelling. Working on a small carrack.

Wood details. Foamcore is my friend. So is cardboard, wire, styrene.

No, but that is one of the activities I want to try after retiring someday.

I use all the listed ones and the ones not under consideration for this poll, as well as other materials. And tons of trash miscelanea, too.

I do for wooden buildings.

I use whatever seems most suitable. Since I game a lot of Ancient and black powder era hat means a lot of wooden buildings on the table. Bass wood and coffee stirrers make very quick plank and frame structures.

I haven't, but would consider it for Wild West buildings.

Of course, cardboard and foam core would be useful as well.

Yes but rarely

Extensively in the past, Have largely switched to paper buildings which I use wood to ballast my paper houses by gluing the paper around. And have made the Gettysburg Cemetery Gate house completely out of wood in the beginning of the year..

I use wood for shoring up trenches and Mortar pits, but don't build buildings our of it.

I've built a medieval town using cork tiles, coffee stirrers & matchsticks. So yes I use wood to make buildings.
