We'd still have plastic.

Taking the situation description at face value – national emergency (people are dying and will continue), no other recourse, they want something from my excess (a hobby) – take 'em all!

Maybe we'll all get a Wikipedia page commemorating our sacrifice.

This is ridiculous

This is crazy, although I do remember reading an article a long time again about the government wanting the memorials at Gettysburg during WW2.

They ending up giving them a few old vehicles and several miles of metal fencing,

The U.S. government would certainly just take them all in such a case. You just wouldn't have a choice if they knew about it.

They wouldn't need the minis. There is sufficient casting material available through tire shops: Wheel weights.

I used to cast my own minis,as well as minis and round ball for my rifled musket. I could buy a 5-gallon bucket of wheel weights (used to balance tires) from the local dealer for $5. USD Probably 40+ pounds in each bucket.

I thought this was ridiculous last time it was asked. And it wasn't very long ago. If we are going back to polls from 2013 when someone asked "What are you playing now?" (as we did a few weeks ago) then repeating a poll like this seems odd, as there should be newer, more timely polls to run.

If I donated just my lead pile I could provide for the needs of several major powers.

If they hve to revert to Charleville muskets, I will probably be dead as water, food etc. will also be lost.
Means the chinese would be so nsty s not to provide the spare prrs to our toys, and the geniuses produced by the education system incapable of any adptation.

Only when they pry them from my cold, dead hands.

For a true national emergency yes. Although the VAST majority of my collection are 1:72 plastic – not sure what emergency you would need those for.
