This should have had representative samples of the work of each artist.

Just another indicator that people don't take polls seriously in the slightest.

In the interests of taking them seriously, I'll point out that that this one was changed from "RPG Artists" to "Fantasy Artists" without having gone through a second PPD.

Admittedly, the original thread went OT somewhat; one of my nominations, Hannes Bok, died before the advent of RPG's (Bosch would be another).

But still, some others probably didn't get nominations,simply because they didn't do art for RPG's.

Noted in passing: I see Piper909's pics fell victim to the Photobucket extortion racket.

Jacques-Emile Blanche's writings could be described as fantasy, but his paintings were historical I believe.

Blanche Lazell's paintings are generally categorised as abstract, but I suppose you could call that work fantasy.

Yes,he'd be with the "H's". But he won't be,because nobody nominated him--he didn't do any RPG art (or did he? I wouldn't know). As I said above,that was the PPD question. Now it's just "Fantasy",so many artists you could name will be missing. That's the way the polls roll here.

Oh well. Hannes Bok will still get my vote. Though it may be the only one.

I have three Chris Achilleos' prints on my walls even now! (See below). Penthesilea; Amazon BC; and Athena. And one Elmore, "Eyes of Autumn,", and I've had Erol Otus and Bill Willingham in the past (since sold, alas).
