I started up WW2 6mm to play Rapid Fire. I did it mainly for cost reasons. I am with Snurl1. I am having a tough time identifying some infantry units. Me thinks 10mm would have been a better choice. |

If you want to use figures painted as Orcs for the Iron Brigade, that's your scale! |

Bunch of pagans you lot are :) I like 6mm a lot, being exclusive to that scale is tempting but Nah, I like every scale. |

I LOVE 6mm especially GHQ, PFCinC, baccus, adler and Rapier ancients. Microworld games fantasy line keeps tempting me as well. Most of my games are in the old school 25mm scale however. |

I just purchased the new line of 6mm Wild West buildings from Leven Miniatures. Have some Irregular painted 6mm Cowboys coming so I am going 6mm big time right now. |

GHQ 1/285 for WWII. 6mm Heroics & Ross for SYW, Baccus 6mm for Ancients & Napoleonics. I do all these periods in other scales too, but when I want that grand sweep, or to game a largeish battle on a modestly sized table, 6mm is the perfect size. Also, for WWII and later, the ranges and 'empty battlefield' look very realistic. Henry MWBG |

Sold all the 6mm for pennies a few year back when I went big battle 1:1 ratio Ancients 2mm style. With over 1000 60mm wide bases crammed with figures I needed a change. Currently painting up all sides for the Bruce brothers' Irish and Independence Wars. Thankfully Irregular can supply everything in 6mm but for some variation ( what if ? factor) the Welsh will be Heroics & Ros. Perfect timing now that Andy's on the mend. |

I try and put the scale to the purpose. 3mm – aerial. 6mm – large mass battle whether SF, Fantasy, or Historical. Selected skirmishes. 15/18mm – smaller mass battle and platoon to company sized actions. Most skirmishes. 25mm (legacy figures only) battles and skirmishes with like sized armies of friends using older rules. Eventually these will be given away or used as shelf display units only. "30mm" – FRPGs/SFRPGs/VSF skirmishes. |

6mm WSS, Napoleonics and ACW. Everything else in 15mm. Can't see myself doing anything else in 6mm, as I prefer to paint in 15mm. |
