No, TAHGCo made two Gettysburg games (squares and hexes) of which the second went through several editions. And I think some people are confused about Battle Cry. The MB version (originally titled The American Heritage Game of the Civil War) was the pseudo-strategic game where you lined up your pieces one behind the other and jumped the back one over the enemy line (unless the last one was artillery) and removed the enemy line-up. NOT a good game mechanic. |

American Heritage "Battle Cry" should be on there, too, just for saie of com-leteness (is that a word?). Also, Milton Bradley/Hasbro/Avalon Hill's "Battle Cry" is essentially the same as WotC's "Battle Cry", just without the silly and unnecessary rules changes in the WotC edition, so no need to list them twice. You can just say "Command and Colors Battle Cry". |

Actually, Avalon Hill DID make three "Gettysburg" games. And more, really. 1. Original (square grid) 2. Original (re-issued with hex grid) 3. 1978(?) Edition, all new rules, maps and counters on hex grid with two completely different sets of rules and a third hyper-advanced version 4. 125th Anniversary edition, designed by Craig Taylor as flagship for the "Smithsonian" line of games There's probably one more in there, somewhere, that I missed. |
