At our LGS (I never played) it did about similar. Heard several complaints about Therians being THE army to beat but lots of compliments about the game overall. |

Simple, fairly elegant rules, good fluff, fun play, great pre-painted figs. Not a lot of gaming going on when there's a mess with the distribution. The figs work well for other games too. |

Around here it seems to be getting a second wind. Seeing more and more of it being played. |

"Heard several complaints about Therians being THE army to beat" I've heard that about a Therian force built around Nina Zero fairly often. Generic Therians, not so much. |

I keep thinking about getting into it. It would be nice to have something you can just buy and play for a change. |

With the Operation Damocles starters out there for dirt cheap, now is the time. Were I just now getting started (he says, looking over his shoulder at the stack of Red Blok walkers on the desk), I *might* wait for the new faction starters coming in a month or two, but the Damocles box is still too good a deal to pass up. Just don't bother with the included rulebook. Get a Damocles box or two, the full rulebook, and (if still floating around for cheap) all four army books. Then get one Attachment box for each of the two troop types in the Damocles box (White Star Steel Troopers and Therian Storm Golems, IIRC). Next wave will depend on your chosen armies to concentrate on, but should include the Operation Damocles Campaign book and the Operation Frostbite box regardless. |

looks like the answer is "poorly" |

TMP and pre-paints "don't get along", so the poll results are not a surprise. |

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if I saw that poll result on the TPPMP. (The Pre-Painted Miniatures Page.) In all local game stores, AT-43 just sat on the shelves till they were liquidated. |

It sells moderately well at my LGS, but we have a regular group that plays one or two days a week, anyway

I bought some of the tac arms to use as SST figs. |

What with the FFG stock liquidation, it's a dirt-cheap game to get into. I hope to pick up some more from The War Store soonish. |

It seemed to start out Ok a little while ago, then all of a suddon the stores (two in the area) both saw sales just stop. Then over a couple of months both stores sold off their stock and killed the line. So in my area it is dead. Course this is bad for me as I was one of the few that really bought into the game. |

Everyone I was playing with moved away. Otherwise, it was doing fairly well. Our LGS' owner has this theory that there's only a certain amount of money floating around for particular types of products. He didn't want to dilute his GW/FoW/PP sales so he never ordered the stuff except as special orders. |
