I would normally say 2" but some of my figures have "Spillage" over the base edge so I went with 60mm to give a little extra room for figure placement. Though I could agree with VIgilant, 3 bases wide is also a good choice, especially if the group is more than 4 PC's.allows the group to run with 3 PC's up front. Chris |

I am almost with Vigilant on this but I went with 4 inches, which would give room for 3-4 figures to fit across. |

This is our basing coming back to haunt us again. The standard D&D 10' wide 10' high corridor should let Gandalf, Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas walk side by side. But we put our miniatures on bases which are a scale 6' in diameter so we need a 4"/24' corridor to accommodate as many characters as a "real" 10' wide corridor. (Yes, I do it too. But it's surprising how many people don't work out that interiors for 1:1 combat have to be built overscale.) |

They need clearance to wield their weapons?… I use 1" = 5 feet. Accurate? Realistic? Heck, no! But it is what was used in 1e AD&D, since 1979. I started playing in 1980, and we used it, and we liked it. Still do. "Realism? Sheesh!…" Cheers! |
