Peter Pig does figures suitable for 15mm Modern British.

As I said in the pre-poll discussion (by the way, the link to it here goes to the freedom of speech discussion) I am waiting for a 10mm M2 medium tank. I would also settle for it in 20mm.

Perry makes 19th century mob circa 1860 – draft riots. They are quite nice.

More 15mm- 28mm Napoleonic era civilians – not just Revolution ones, and not just French ones either. Need damsels for Sharpe, corrupt mayors, etc. Lotta proxies available though.

More 28mm Napoleonic dismounted cavalry – Hussars especially.

More 28mm Napoleonic cavalry in overcoats/capes. (Perry has done some.)

28mm Napoleonic character figures in campaign gear from all nations- Company level command ie., NCOs for all the Napoleonic skirmishing going on.

28mm Voltigeur cornetists in overcoats.

28mm Old Guard in overcoats in a firing line – loading, firing, presenting, etc.

Florida Tory27 Jan 2016 6:41 a.m. PST

I agree with Flashman14's ideas about missing 28s.

28mm non-combatant Indians (women, children and old people) particularly the FIW, Seminole Wars and Plains Wars. Would also like naval troops in land operations for mid-19th century.

Other:

Incomplete 1/72 plastic ranges.

SYW for instance. Only infantry is readily available at this point in time. Many of the old Revell boxes are OOP.

Another example is that there is no really decent Early Germanic types. The HaT Gothic army box (Technically Coates and Shine) turned out to be a huge disappointment and was really substandard to most of the other HaT figures.

18mm black troops for ACW?

Seriously at 18mm there arent much diffrence in facial features, paint regular troops with dark skin.

Hell even in 28mm there aren't that much diffrence, unless you want stereotypical faces.

WillieB27 Jan 2016 8:33 a.m. PST

Other;

15th C East Romans (Byzantines if you must) One of the most momentous events in the history of the world and not a single manufacturer makes a range. Preferably in 28mm especially since the figures would be extremely pretty.

Earlier East Romans (5th, 6th, 7th C.) are also lacking but I heard Aventine will release these soon(ish).

Pet peeve: Nationalist and Republican bog standard infantry for the SCW in 28mm. Someone just scale up Minairon's 20mm!
We've got nearly all the specials so give us the standard infantry now.

Napoleonic early French dismounted dragoons in trousers, so they can be used in Egypt. But perhaps Alan and Michael will see to that.

15mm John the OFM for the win !!!!

Cerdic27 Jan 2016 12:06 p.m. PST

Somebody does make 28mm Kelly's Heroes figures but I forget who……

Also. Why no option for a John the OFM in 28mm?

Old Contemptibles27 Jan 2016 12:48 p.m. PST

I can't hardly think of anything. This is truly the golden age and most of us don't realize it. I guess maybe AWI British Legion Foot in 28mm. Maybe some town buildings for 28mm AWI. You can now get 15mm RR tracks so I guess some 28mm track. Wow what a difference from the 70s and 80s. Just about have it all. At least in my gaming world.

Texas Jack27 Jan 2016 1:01 p.m. PST

Once 3D printing is the industry standard you can get a John the OFM in any size you want.

Like Who asked this joker, I would also like some 1/72 stuff, particularly the War of 1812 and some *good* American 1941 infantry. Strelets makes a set but they are beyond awful.

28mm French Napoleonic infanterie legere, preferably in Peninsula War campaign rig. You can't get any really good ones except for the Perry 1815 ones and the Brigade Games Late Revolutionary ones. There's a big hole in the middle period.

Not only does it rule out doing 1/4 of the French infantry, but it also rules out doing many of the unique foreign units, like the Irish Legion.

Such a First-World problem.

In 25/28mm: Sixties hippies, including some rock bands. More Gypsies. More Hillbillies. More Circus performers. Pulp sets for Jonny Quest. Frat boys. More civilians in "livery", i.e. postmen, milkmen, repairmen, hard hat construction workers, all those jobs that used to have a distinctive dress. We need these for all sorts of modern gaming.

More idiosyncratically, Princess Dragon Mom from the movie INFRAMAN. Queen La of Opar the way Russ Manning drew her. And a resin-cast ZARDOZ head.

Mako1128 Jan 2016 1:49 p.m. PST

15mm Modern British are now available, from QRF, depending upon your definition of "modern".

Sadly, once again, all the characters from the old Gerry Anderson TV show UFO, didn't make the cut.

Would love to see them in 28mm and 15mm/18mm scales, e.g. Aliens, Moonbase Girls, Astronauts, SHADO HQ and security personnel, SkyDiver crews, civilians in miniskirts and other casual/futuristic dress, etc., etc..

Would love a Moon Hopper too, in each scale.

25mm ancient Sardinians, just like the 20mm "Sae Peoples" recently brought out, but with archers as well. I am converting my own – 1 archer done, 9 to go !

Syrinx028 Jan 2016 9:10 p.m. PST

Only 3 Kelly's Hero's figures were made by Artizan as I recall. I would love to have the full unit.

Romans for Teutoberg Forest in 28mm. Amazingly no-one makes them.

ranger601 Feb 2016 9:16 p.m. PST

How about all the suggestions in the first section of Victor Rudik's "The One Inch Army" second edition. In 20MM (1/72, more or less), of course.
