Terrain guy – now sadly out of business. The mats were flocked and textured on canvas making them quite durable.

Who or what was (is) Table Wars? They're not listed on TMP under manufacturers AFAIK.

For straight up quality, I'd have to go with my Zuzzy mat. It is great. It was pretty pricey though. For quality, versatility and price I'd have to go with Games Workshop. The battlemats they had out about 5 or 6 years ago now were really durable, flexible, great for putting hills under and for a 6x4 footer for $30 USD the price was difficult to beat too.

Zuzzy may make them, and they'll take your money, but they don't ship them out anymore. Plenty of threads on TMP about this.

I make my own and they are better that any I have seen for sale and at way lower cost.

I only have the Games Workshop ones, which while pretty plain are durable as all get go – in fact, I have been using them pretty regularly for about 6 years and they are as good as new

I've recently bought three of the Cigar Box mats, and I'm very happy that I did.

I have been very pleased with the quality of Hotz mats….but very unhappy with the poor quality service and near absence of communication from the business.

Ares games, for Wings of Glory.
