I play QILS mostly. None is not it, but minutes is a bit long. |

Are we supposed to know what QILS is? I sure don't! As to the poll, I don't play any games with real down time and players have to pay attention even when it isn't their turn regardless of what rules we are playing. |

I can't imagine wanting to play a game where I don't do anything for a half hour or more. |

No such thing as down time – if I'm not paying attention during my opponent's activations, how can I react or interrupt? Still, 'none' is a bit extreme as there are always moments where there's effectively nothing I can do but watch, so a few minutes seems the most reasonable, besides watching can be fun too. All that said I think the premise of the question is flawed – I can't think of a single ruleset I currently play where one side is left with noting to do while the other side has 'their turn', that's an archaic concept long dispensed with for me. |

A lot of systems that provide sufficient engagement at all times for a two player game fail as soon as there are teams of two or three. With decent systems I have to pay attention during my opponent's move -- but if I can't activate my brigade until my team-mate is done with his I do have a problem. Really this is enough to kill a ruleset for me these days. |

When we play a big grand tactical game it can take up to half an hour – but I prefer a few minutes |

Even in really big games, I've had little down time |
