5 chasseur (but these include four Allied rgts – 1 Polish, 1 Saxon, and 2 Wurttemburg) vs 4 hussar (all French). All for the post-armistice 1813 campaigns.

Plus 2 French cheveauleger lancier, 2 Polish uhlan, 2 French and 1 Italian dragoon, and six heavies (4 cuirassier and 2 carabinier). Doesn't count the Guard.

This is a very niche question for those of us who like the French First Empire, but it seems to me that those who game with Napoleonic French armies do like those hussars (the eyes and ears of the army – and also the egos). While they do have a lot of appeal, the French had at their peak 13 regiments of hussars – and 31 regiments of chasseurs-a-cheval, who did a ton of hard, unrecognized work. What is the ratio of hussars to chasseurs in your French army?
