Quit messing with the names. Set them to something thematic and inclusive and then leave them alone.

Remove the date ranges. They're silly and arbitrary no matter what dates you pick.

"Ironclads YYYY to YYYY" should be just "Ironclad Era" or something like that, and "Naval Gaming 1890-1929" should be just "Battleship Era" or something. Yes, they overlap, with each other and with other boards like "WWII Naval Discussion", but so what? Cross-posting makes that a non-issue.

If you don't know the difference between an "ironclad", a "battleship", and an "ironclad battleship", it only means you're not as neurotic and obsessive as people like me. Cross-post to both and be done with it.

POLL DESCRIPTION
We currently have the Ironclads board and the Naval Gaming 1890-1929 board. The Ironclads board currently covers 1862 to 1889.

I suggest an earlier start date to encompass the pre-Dreadnought era; admittedly, the division is still somewhat arbitrary.
What year should be the division between the two boards?
