| POLL DESCRIPTION |
Many people have strong religious beliefs, and feel the need to share their beliefs through a variety of means - including the passing out of religious pamphlets or tracts at major events such as the Olympics.
Is it appropriate for a gamer to distribute tracts at a gaming convention?
(You can vote for as many options as you agree with, up to five.) |
freedom of expression | I think that everyone at a convention should have the right to express their beliefs.
as long as I can walk away | It's OK for people to pass out tracts at a convention, as long as they aren't pushy or in your face.
it's OK if they get a booth | If someone wants to proselyte at a convention, they should pay for a booth in the dealer's area and wait for people to come talk to them.
religion and wargaming don't mix | It's a wargaming convention, not a religious gathering. Keep religion out of it.
it's OK if the tracts are left somewhere | I don't mind if people put their literature in a public area, where I can choose to read it if I want to.
tracts should be banned | There should be a rule prohibiting the distribution of religious tracts at game conventions.
